Review of THX 1138 (1971) by Esprit Ouverts — 30 May 2008
Legally required sedatives, cameras in every room tied to a vast network, "mind-locks", radiation showers, randomly computed mates, automated confessionals, runaway holograms, instead of names we have numbers and prefixes, malfunctioning robo-cops... and oh yeah sex with your mate is a felony.
This is the scariest, and sadly potentially accurate vision of the future ever conceived.
More chilling even than Orwell.
