Review of Thunderpants (2002) by Ariane R — 21 Apr 2006
Patrick Smash and Alan A. Allen are best friends in every sense of the word. Humor is not lost on this movie and neither is the touching moments. Patrick stands out in a world full of similarities in the subtleties all around him. The gray suits, and green cars of all the same model make one wonder what the message was in that. Rupert Grint (right now I'm going to tell you I am bias) delivers a bang up performance as Alan, this usually soft spoken young man delivers the performance as the genius best friend with precision. A good age for this is 8 - 12 although my 7 year old enjoyed it immensely. British humor along with American humor color this film, I enjoyed it. Remember to watch it for what it is...family fun.
Best Performances: Ned Beatty, Rupert Grint.
