Review of Thunderheart (1992) by Garrett O — 24 Oct 2009
Fascinating story of Native American spirituality. The story starts with an FBI agent--Val Kilmer--investigating a murder on the Reservation. As Kilmer listens to the Sioux he starts to have visions of Wounded Knee.
Does he believe the Vision or his FBI colleagues? The Native Americans accept the spiritual world and live by its laws; the movie is incredible showing this harmony. The story builds suspense gradually and as Kilmer takes his leap of faith so does the audience.
