Review of Thunderball (1965) by Kricia E — 15 Jul 2008
The producers set out to make the biggest Bond film ever, and they certainly succeeded. Everything here, from the plot to the characters to the action is larger than life, which certainly makes for a heart-pounding viewing experience.
As the Bond girls, Claudine Auger and Luciana Paluzzi have to be two of the most gorgeous women ever to be in a movie. That said, I've always found the underwater sequences to be boring, meandering and poorly scored.
And there are so many of them! I want to look at Claudine Auger and Luciana Paluzzi, not a documentary about scuba diving!
