Review of Thunderball (1965) by Samuel S — 23 Jul 2008
After Goldfinger the studio's realized the money making machine that is the Bond franchise. This movie was expensive and it shows but not in a good way. Think Braveheart battles but underwater and you'll get the gist of what I mean.
The story picks up on Bond's trail of SPECTRE and introduces the first of the cheesy Bond villians Largo. If your villian is wearing a eye patch he's not going to be taken seriously. The action is ok but boring I can only watch two men fighting underwater for so long.
Its a decent Bond film.
