Review of Thunderball (1965) by Aalaap G — 05 Apr 2011
What might be called a "dated classic." When a eye-patched Spectre Agent obtains two nuclear devices and holds the free world hostage, only Bond's inimitable action style can save the day.
With one of the franchise's most menacing villains and our favorite hero portrayed in a top notch performance by Sean Connery, its a Bond franchise classic to be sure. Only the now deadly slow pace of an underwater fight scene, and the hokey use of fast motion in the final showdown mar an otherwise brilliant installment.
