Review of Thunderball (1965) by Tanner B — 07 Aug 2015
Sean Connery returns as James Bond in the 4th movie of the franchise. This time around he returns to the Bahamas to find two missing atomic warheads secretly being hidden by the evil SPECTRE organization.
Assuming command of hiding the warheads is Largo (Adolfo Celi) the second in command of the organization. Featuring some really great underwater sequences that even hold up today the film is largely entertaining.
It features a nice mix of one liners from Bond, action and adventure, and of course some stunning locales. I'd say the plot itself is fairly light, but the film is very well done. A solid entry into the franchise and one that holds its own!
