Review of Thunderball (1965) by Drew O — 18 Feb 2012
Definitely my all time favorite bond film, closely followed by Goldfinger and the Man with the Golden Gun, as well as one of my favorite movies. Sean Connery once again proves why he IS James Bond. This movie is also visual stunning (Bahamas, underwater scenes, aerial shots ect.
), especially on MGM's restored Blu-ray. Some people say this film was a bit too gimmicky, but I actually found this to have a lot let less of the corniness and unnecessary gadgets that are prevalent throughout the series and perhaps even to be a little more believable.
Anyone who is a fan of Bond can appreciate this film.
