It's safe to say Thunder Road is not going to appeal to a wide audience. To call it a 'dramedy' is a bit misleading and while it's wryly humerous in places, you're not going to be doing much laughing. For a 90 minute movie it felt much longer which is not a criticism, it's just that it's so emotionally exhausting.
Well worth watching but not quite worthy of all the high praise it's garnered.
