Review of Thumbsucker (2005) by Ws W — 13 Oct 2009
An Indie. Odd, mellow but unique. Down to earth. Plain & real enough to have the minimum use of so-called 'dramatic' coating (alias the bubble-gum, fairy-tale like- thou there are still some).
A super cast- Lou Pucci gives a very convincing performance off a confusing, comin' off age adolescent boy. Great supportings also from Vincent D'Onofrio, Vince Vaugh. Lovely acoustic soundtracks too.
