Review of Thumbsucker (2005) by Mick A — 25 Mar 2008
The kind of movie only a teenager who doesn't know much about life just yet could appreciate. As a somewhat cynical 26 yr old, it struck me as more emo suburban dystopia BS. It was OK, but seemed to be trying a bit too hard.
Coming from a third world country where you can't walk down the street without tripping over a beggar, pardon me if I can't sympathize when some angsty teenager decides to just throw a box of perfectly good orange juice on the floor because 'parents just don't understand'.
Cry me a river.
