Review of Thumbsucker (2005) by Jessica F — 14 May 2009
Ugh. This movie was successful only in that it captured the teenage experience. Agonizing, confusing, seemed to last forever, and I'd rather not look back on it. Not to be confused with The Chumscrubber, which has the same kid, and is preferable.
Tilda Swinton is the only bit of light, as a wife and mother who doesn't get enough credit.
