So apparently Don Bluth had had enough with dark, organic films that explored the full spectrum of human emotion, and decided to do this shallow, episodic marshmallow of a film as sickeningly saccharine as the worst Disney direct-to-video sequel.
It makes the forgettable Titan AE look like a return to form.
