[yet another Kurosawa movie] Based on Macbeth - the 'Lady Macbeth' character is really creepy. the two main characters ('Macbeth' and 'lady Macbeth') facial expressions and make-up are intended to emulate Noh masks - the effect is quite weird compared to the other characters more natural faces.
Very unsettling.
