Review of Throne of Blood (1957) by Garrett C — 25 Jan 2012
The word "genius" or "brilliant" might be thrown about a lot, but when it comes to Kurosawa Akira's adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth the words are used in the exact sense they were meant for.
The ominous setting, great acting (especially by Mifune and Yamada), and writing make for one of Kurosawa's best.
