Review of Throne of Blood (1957) by Megan B — 09 Apr 2010

I watched this on TV years ago. I didn't see the whole thing, but what I watched was amazing. Kurosawa stayed true to the play while giving the story a fitting feudal Japanese flavor.

It's one of those movies that is as good as the play or book, if not better. There is violence however and one of the most outrageous deaths ever filmed. If you've seen the whole movie, you'll know what I"m talking about.
