Wow... 1999? Seems a bit too late for the amount of homophobia going on in this movie! I could have sworn I read 1995 right before I caught this movie on tv late last night, and was still surprised at how ancient the attitude seemed. Were we really still so put off by gays a mere 9 years ago?
Forgetting that ridiculousness, Englehart's review is spot on, except I can't stand this cast. We get it; Neve Campbell has fabulous legs. How about we show more of those and less of your "acting." Yep, she still gives me the heebie jeebies. But it wasn't so bad that I had to turn it off, and it was mildly successful with its "feel-good" ending, thus the 2.5 stars.
