Review of Three Summers (2017) by Jens C — 14 Nov 2017
Yikes! What on earth was that? A massively missed opportunity for a film based at a folk festival to have a killer FOLK soundtrack and some awesome cinematography in the Australian bush, not a mish-mash of 20 second exerts from random pop tracks and a stuttering script that wasnt sure whether it was a left-leaning politically correct piece or a comedy.
Rebecca Breeds was excellent and deserves to be picked up by Hollywood and given a decent role. John Waters was pretty good but Magda Szubanski and Michael Caton were cliched and disappointing. Overall, a complete muddle and one to miss.
