Review of Three Monkeys (2008) by Pavandeep S — 10 Mar 2009
I have liked Ceylan's films a lot. His style is so reminescent of human emotions from nascence till the epoch of the particular emotion's reign and I find that rather intriguing, to have a film all stripped except to its raw essence.
I found this film to be very burden-heavy, it was hard for me to watch such strong feelings being portrayed and yet, not being dramatic. It really feels like a life so wasted in such pointless activities and yet essential and with those vile things, there is still a unit to hold, a value to maintain.
