Interesting mix of comedy and war violence, and turns out surprisingly well. For the most part the two mix well, which is a feat in itself because usually it turns into a massive fail of a film, or just blah like The Monuments Men.

It stars George Clooney, Mark Walberg, and Ice Cube as the three kings, and Spike Jonze as the other one who's just kinda thrown into the group as kinda the dumb one. Their all great actors, although I'm not much of a fan of Ice Cube, and they preform well together.

Their characters are all good and well developed, and they fit in together. The plot is kinda a cheesy one that is commonly used in low budget war films such as The Last Drop, but this one actually does it right.

It's fasted paced, dosen't slow down, and is exiting and fun to watch. The action is good, although it has its moments, and it's funny throughout in a good way that is believable and dosen't get in the way of what ever else is happening.

Throwing in the reporter who's trying to get the story is a good sidestory, but I still hate seeing reporters who run around the battleground taking pictures, videos, and asking questions. We've seen it before and because of films like We Were Soldiers where they turn up and try and interview while there's still shelling, and it still pisses me off how they do that when people are getting shot around them and they don't help but instead record it.

Anyway Three Kings is a good film, a change from the standard war movie, with a cheesy plot and some humor, but does it the right way.
