Review of Three Identical Strangers (2018) by Barbara J — 04 Aug 2018
I loved this movie. It brings you deeply into the lives of each of these people. The study that was done , that impacted their lives is sad . It will not be as significant or impactful as the researcher had thought sadly enough. The majority of parents have no other option but to work in this day and age and so most children are raised by child care centers and providers of child care. Most parents do not raise their children anymore. Sadly, children spend more waking ours with other caregivers while their parents work full time jobs to support the family. Many children spend 10-12 hours a day in centers and day care homes daily and only 2-3 waking hours with their parents. The study of the impact of parenting is far less significant then it was a generation ago or ever will be in the future given the current trends of placing children in the full time care of other people ,, so parents can support their families.
My heart goes out to all of the families and people in this movie whose lives were altered for the sake of a study whose results are pretty much obsolete and mean little in this day and age. My prayers and thoughts are with each one of them.
