Review of Three Days to Forever (2007) by Dewi A — 22 Oct 2007
This is the most laid back movie i've ever seen. you'll see Indonesia, the truely Indonesian road.... nothing really pretty cause that's just how indonesia looks like for real, especially in the most packed island... Java.
The movie is set at 'jalur pantura', one of the most busy roads in Indonesia connecting every regions in Java. You'll be indulged by how laid back this movie is perfectly match with great soundtrack performed by FLOAT, newcomers indie band.
The story starts when Yusuf, cast by Nicholas Saputra (Indonesian sweetheart 8-}) is asked by his aun't to deliver family's antique dinnerset to Jogjakarta for family wedding reception. driving his car with his spoiled cousins, Ambar (Ardinia Wirasti.... she's so lucky to get a chance to co-staring with Nicholas Saputra... teuteb judulnya iri tanda tak mampu).
Character crash couldn't be avoided on the way to jogjakarta between Yusuf and Ambar. which is unfortunately be the climax point of this movie... which I think pretty poor written.
This movie also put some social issue like polygamy in it. I put 2 thumbs up for the way it's told in the movie... fresh, comedic, and 'oh.. no heartache'.
Moral of the story after watching this movie : "don't sleep with your cousin... for any reason it's not appropriate!!!".
