Review of Three Days of the Condor (1975) by John L — 05 Jan 2008
Sydney Pollack is in my opinion, one of the most underrated American directors of our time. He proved with Condor that he could make a thrilling spy film with taste and class and even a touch of artistic flair, as shown in the love/symbolism scene between Redford and Dunaway.
This was made right in the middle of one of the greatest actor/director collaborations since 1950's film, as Redford and Pollack would go on to make The Electric Horseman and Out of Africa, not to mention Havana, another under appreciated gem.
