Review of Three Days of the Condor (1975) by Laura E — 12 Jun 2008
Yeah, it was good, though Robert Redford instantly makes every movie good (or at least good-looking). Everything in this film has been done a million times since then, making it tired - but not in retrospect.
It was well-done for its time, and even today the plot is solid. Very few holes. In some parts, however, it seemed to take itself too seriously - mainly the sex scene: contrived, unnecessary, and overly dramatic, what with all the slow shots of the "lonely" photography serving as blatant symbolism for Faye Dunaway's sudden companionship.
Plus, I mean, if there's going to be "explicit sexuality," like the rating said, I want to see RR a lot more naked than that.
