Like alot of people, I am thanking film4 for showing this on such numerous occassions that I finally sat down & watched it. I am glad that I did. The story is 1st class and manages to be tense & exciting without stetching the realms of credibity too far.
The camera work is a tad tight for my liking but the performances of the cast more than make up for that. Probably aimed to tickle the underbelly of a post-watergate audience the questions thrown up here are equally relevant today.
Redford & Dunaway are undoubtably the stars but I really enjoyed Max von Sydow's journeyman assassin, he has such pressence & delivers his lines with such style.
