Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Will P — 28 Jan 2018
A fantastic character study of a small southern town, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is one of my favorite films of 2017. Frances McDormand gives arguably the best performance of her career, seamlessly shifting between anger, sincerity, and depression.
Every supporting performance is spot on, especially Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson, which elevates the already fantastic script. Filled with dark humor and an emotional punch, Three Billboards is a master class in acting supported by the impeccable writing and direction of Martin Mcdonagh.
9.8/10.
