The rough language and explosive violence in "Three Billboards" -- plus the weirdly placed bits of humor -- made this an intense moviegoing experience. If you're up for that, it's a satisfying experience as well.
Frances McDormand's bravery as an actress is stunning. I especially liked the way the story developed: Could have been completely hopeless and depressing, but it isn't.
