Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Macsmusic — 29 Dec 2017
This is a pretty heavy movie, and there is a lot of stuff to unpack. It deals with several different political issues in an offhanded way that works really well. Several lines from this movie stuck with me after leaving the theater.
The acting is really good and most, but not all, of the comedy works pretty well. This movie was filmed perfectly. One scene had me in tears just because of the blaring music and brutality happening in the scene.
Hate and forgiveness are the biggest themes of the movie, and the way forgiveness is portrayed on screen is really incredible. The characters are all interesting and very well acted. All in all, a really amazing movie that mixes depth and comedy very well with great acting.
