Martin McDonagh is a genius at bringing you up and dropping you back down. He perfectly blends dark comedy and drama with a subtlety that is truly impressive.
This movie is masterfully directed, and though the cast as a whole does a great job, see this movie for Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell alone.
Refreshingly different from a lot of the blockbusters and superhero movies coming out lately, this is one of the best films I've seen recently.
