Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Avril — 10 Nov 2017
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is an absolute cinematic masterpiece, and the best film of 2017. Martin McDonagh's script balances humour and tragedy in the most profound way.
Frances McDormand leads an incredible ensemble cast that delivers some of the year's best performances. McDormand is incredible, and undoubtedly gives her best performance since the Coen's Fargo. Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson both shine.
Three Billboards is angry, profane, yet heartfelt and beautiful. Tragedy, hope and redemption shines through, and makes it the film we really need today.
