Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Trentq — 18 Mar 2018
A really great movie and some truly outstanding performances. For me, it was unexpectedly a black comedy of sorts but rides the line quite well. I personally would have liked to see some more backstory of the characters but it does round most of them out by the end.
A really interesting story and something that feels well timed. Frances McDormand is incredible as always but really sells this movie in her performance, Sam Rockwall is also pretty spectacular. This feels like it could be a true story which for me works to help connect with the story, pain, emotion, etc.
A really come out of this satisfied and pleased that it did something a little different and pulled it off.
