Review of ¡Three Amigos! (1986) by Rachel M — 03 Oct 2009
Every once in a while I go back and watch a "good" movie I remember from the 80s only to discover upon the new viewing that the movie wasn't really that "good" (Red Dawn anyone?).
Fortunately, this is NOT The case with Three Amigos! This is an example of a movie that was funny in 1986 and it is still funny in 2009! Three of the biggest comedians of the 80's star as three bumbling actors who unwittingly find themselves in a very dangerous situation of mistaken identity (ies).
The dialogue is hilarious and the slapstick is good. The comic timing of each of these actors is admirable and they all play off of one another splendidly. I think Three Amigos! has weathered time well.
