This docu-drama aired on the BBC in 1984 during the Reagan administration. Former President Reagan watched the film and was quoted as saying, "Threads is about as close to nuclear destruction as the world will ever come -- I hope and pray.".
This vivid, realistic take on what could transpire between two superpowers is unbelievably smart and will take your breath away. Be prepared because this is not a film you can watch again.
