Review of Threads (1985) by Ádám S — 01 Dec 2012
A masterpiece. A very good movie which is extremely painful to watch. It shows everything in an ultra-realistic fashion (the crew shot it on 16mm in location and with totally unknown actors), and steps even further, further and further when there is nothing.
In the first half you see the modern society, then in the second half you see a carnivoristic wasteland. And I'm warning you: if you will watch it, your soul will be damaged and it takes take while it heals.
Or not. If you're faint-hearted, avoid it, please, for you own sake! It's devastating.
