Review of Threads (1985) by Lucien D — 07 Mar 2008
This film envokes a vision of a grim, desolate wasteland filled with horror, decay and misery - and that's before the bombs even start falling.
Easily the second most harrowing film on 'what might have been' had those pesky reds ever decided to go toe-to-toe with the US. Makes the US equivalent 'The Day After' look as realistic as those 1950s propoganda films like "The Atomic Bomb and You". Only beaten for sheer horror by The War Game.
