Review of Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967) by Ashley T — 12 Jun 2009
This was a delightfully quirky comedy--something along the lines of slapstick satire. It started out strong and held it's effect through most of the 2 1/2 hours, but the last half hour waned. I didn't much enjoy the kidnapping and the racial stereotypes were definitely telling of the era.
Muzzy's character, however, as a complete joy. I believe the elevator that requires tap dancing will be the most memorable piece.
