Review of Thor: The Dark World (2013) by Dragonsfoe . — 21 Mar 2015
Thankfully Marvel has delivered again mixing the perfect match of comedy and action making the movie way better than the original yet a far cry from the Avengers.
The movie starts with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) spending his days in prison while his brother, Thor (Chris Hemsworth)is trying to bring order to the Nine Realms. He soon finds a disturbance by the Dark Elves lead by Malekieth (Christopher Eccleston) because a trigger of the Aether from Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). On Earth the battle rages as Thor and Loki work together with the help of Selvig (Skarsgard) Darcy (Dennings) and his Asgardian friends.
Like I had said before Marvel delivers. The humor and twists were great leaving us wanting more. Unsurprisingly Hiddleston and Hemsworth both have amazing chemistry especially the performance of the the fan favorite. The comedy was also great and the. Some.
There was only one big problem with The Dark World. The villain had very bad character development. He even speaks a different language for most of the time yet he is still a pretty good villain only because Loki makes up for it.
Phase Two is in full swing. Did you see that Captain America cameo?
Rating: 7.3 (B-).
