Well all I can say is this.

This film wasn't as good as the first one but it was still good to watch. The story was confusing to understand. It needed to be explained in a way that the audience (either neutral, comic book or dedicated fan) will understand it better.

Chris Hensworth (Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) were just able to save the film from being terrible. The rest of the "human" supporting cast were dull and uninteresting. The rest of the cast were all good but could have done better in terms of heart and humour.

Christopher Eccleston as Malekith however, was a good choice for the role but could use a bit more screen time for the film.

The romance itself was pretty dull and the CG looked a bit cartoonist in some areas of the film.

The music (composed by Brian Tyler) though was a bit boring and not what I imagined. I was expecting some more darker and other elements to help make the film more suitable. Instead it's full of heroic and very american elements with not much heart to it at all.

Overall, Marvel have had a bad start to phase 2 with the disappointment of Iron Man 3, but Thor's sequel hasn't quite done enough to recover the situation.

Will now have to wait and see if Marvel can make a comeback in 2014 with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy on their way to the big screens.
