Review of Thor: The Dark World (2013) by German P — 20 Apr 2015
Thor: The Dark World exemplifies at what Thor sort of lacked, which is action. But Thor: The Dark World lacks at what Thor excelled at, which was a good engaging story. This film is entertaining, for the most part.
The main problem with this film is the villain, who you don't fully buy into, mainly due to the fact that Thor barely at all interacts with Malekith let alone has any dialogue with him until the very last battle, which is just balls to the walls crazy, but leaves you wanting a more fulfilling end.
A problem that this film suffers is the same problem from the first Thor, which is the humor from Kat Denning's character and all of the other jokes in the film that just didn't land. Overall, Thor: The Dark World was a decent sequel, not as great as its predecessor, but still some dumb entertaining fun.
