Review of Thor: The Dark World (2013) by Luke S — 14 Feb 2015
A welcome sequel to the largely enjoyable Thor, Thor: The Dark World is, though still a fun time, a badly paced movie with several plot holes that don't link up properly. The visual effects are, as always is the case with Marvel movies, superior to the previous film, and the action sequences in this film are superb.
Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston once again give fantastic performances, though the film itself really just seems like it's setting story up for The Avengers 2, so you don't exactly care for any of the characters and you don't feel the gripping emotion that previous Marvel films have made you feel.
Thor: The Dark World is a fun time, but not one of the best Marvel movies by any means, and it's predecessor was vastly superior in many ways.
