Review of Thor: The Dark World (2013) by Jamie C — 08 Nov 2017
After Avengers raised the bar very high we expect allot from the solo films and I must admit I was kind of hoping for a little bit more from this film, Not to say that it's a bad film because it isn't, It's really good, The plot was ok but it was one of those typical destroy the universe plots, Nothing greatly new about it, The 3D wasn't that great and not needed, The effects were fantastic as always, All the cast were at their best and they gave Natalie Portman something more to do this time, And we did see more Idris Elba this time but still not enough for me, Tom Hiddleston was great again and provides a few nice twists to the story at times, A few things in the story could of been explained better and there was a few plot holes that never get answered, Like the ending, The action scenes where I expected it to shine were good but nothing to get excited about, Overall it's a great film just feels too out of place with the other films in the MCU.
