I think the whole superhero thing is growing a bit old. But than again I really enjoyed this (And I liked homecoming too) ... I think part of that is because it is by the same director as the Wilder People. Amazing and talented man.

I think the reason why Marvel is doing so well right now is because they've shifted their focus from the stories to the characters. Let's face it. Superhero movies are rarely complicated or awe inspiring. What makes them are the heroes and villains. And the interactions. Marvel has been mastering this art over the past few years and they're taking it to another level. The dialogue and humour is worth it alone.

Things I loved:

Korg ... seriously, he stole the show. Taika Waititi is a superhero in himself.

Dr Strange scene ... come on, that was better than the entire Dr Strange movie. They should've gotten Waititi to direct that one too.

Things that I wasn't keen on:

Cate Blanchett. I love Cate as an actor. She's amazing. But she completely failed here. I don't think it was her. It is the character, not the actor. Hela is your typical over powered villain. Nothings special there. And when she puts on here annoying spider hat ... how many times does she have to do that. And it looked lame.

Mark Ruffelo's acting: Again I love this man. But when he went into him mode the acting was dreadful. I feel I could've done a better job and I panic whenever I'm out in public.

All in all. Typical story but a good fun and enjoyable movie.
