Review of Thor: Ragnarok (2017) by Kyle P — 05 Feb 2018
Marvel movies rarely hold up with me. Even if they entertain me in the theater, I rarely see much value when viewing them again. (Guardians of the Galaxy, for instance.) But Thor: Ragnarok was actually pretty enjoyable on my second viewing.
The typical, boring Marvel fair is there at the beginning and end, but the middle is a really fun Sci-fi adventure movie with great comedy and unique visuals. If I watch this movie again, I'm almost certainly going to skip anything not happening on Sakaar.
The rest is nothing you haven't seen in any other Marvel movie: boring villain, boring punching/kicking/shooting, etc. The ending was a pretty interesting way to shake up Thor's side of the MCU though.
