Review of Thor: Ragnarok (2017) by Anthony G — 25 Mar 2018
Definitely better than previous Thor films, but still lacking major standalone value. It stills feels more like an MCU setup film than a fully fleshed-out story. No performances really stood out as special, and certain elements seemed half-baked.
If Hela is so over-powered, why has she not taken over the whole universe at this point? Why was Odin's death so glossed-over? Why were Thor's friends' deaths so meaningless? Where was Sif? Why did Thor let Loki go into the weapons room in Asgard? This movie is just cotton candy with no nutritional value.
