Review of Thor: Ragnarok (2017) by Mike V — 12 Apr 2018
Thor: Ragnarok is a 2017 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Thor. The film is directed by Taika Waititi.
I just don't seem to enjoy these superhero movies. I went into this with high hopes, but after about 60 seconds I was already losing focus. The special effects are very good, but there was a large section of the film with too many battle scenes. The plot is pretty basic, and while there were some funny lines and scenes, overall it wasn't enough for me. At times it was difficult to follow, and the playing of 'Immigrant Song' near the end was totally out of place. The one redeeming feature was Blanchett as Hela.
