Review of Thor: Ragnarok (2017) by Dtl — 03 Nov 2017
This is really a 3.5. Generally, I'm a fan of the Marvel movies, but not this one. It is by far the worst that I have actually seen. The plot is thin, and not executed terribly well. Ditto on the villain.
The action sequences are okay, but nothing special. The visuals are mostly pretty good, but the background music is often pretty bad. It is meant to be funny, but rarely pulls off the jokes, especially if you aren't a fan of dumb humor.
At least half of the movie is just poorly executed improv. I am pretty certain that from now on, the director Taika Waititi will automatically cause me to not see a movie.
