The film somehow manages to entertain despite being too long, too goofy, and too dumb. It's a complete reversal of the usual superhero formula. Typically, a decent first two-thirds is somewhat undone by a weak ending.

Ragnarok stumbles along in halting fashion only to surge in its finale, hitting all the right notes after escaping the interminable Grandmaster's planet.
