Thor is basically a slapstick comedy. Every 20 seconds or so there is a joke of some kind. The goofiness is something one would expect in a Deadpool movie, but even the Deadpool movies are not this over the top with jokes.

The God Butcher doesn't do anything like maybe butchering god's. How can you water down Thor? Give his power to about 30 kids and tell them to fight gor's universal threats. This is an example of letting a director do anything they want without correcting him before he drives a movie into the ditch.
