Have you ever had a friend tell a joke that make you really laugh, then they started doing it again as a running joke and you chuckle but then it gets old, and they start to do it and stare to see if you laugh but it is just awkward at that point? thats how I felt about this movie.

tone deaf is a good explanation. The material is compelling, emotional, and the ground for a FANTASTIC movie, Bale was A tier but the mood was bipolar. It was irreverent in the worst way given the weight of the events that played out in the film.

A kids comedy about death, betrayal, lost love, and the loss of faith, yay.
