Thor: Love and Thunder ends up haunted by it's predecessor and the successes of it's own director in Ragnarok. The idea of delivering an over-the-top, corny film as the best of '80s hard rock is a great one - it's a shame it left out the all-important melodrama that made the genre so unique to this day.
